Retouching is a term used to describe using image editing software to artistically manipulate a photograph. Almost every campaign or image you see online has been retouched in some way, from basic corrections like adding filters and spot removal, to full-blown image recreation like removing the background or changing a subject’s appearance.

Most companies rely on image retouchers to enhance their product imagery and manufacture it to suit their branding. You won’t see a reputable company that hasn’t had a team of retouchers to clean up any imperfections on their product photography!

This may vary from business to business, but the most popular types of content are ones you can watch or listen to, such as reels or podcasts. Video content is used on every application and gets the most views on social media outlets.

Images and graphics are also effective forms of content, and the more exciting they look, the better they will perform.

Text copy performs better on its own on some platforms, such as X, that aren’t designed for the use of imagery or video content. They are also effective when used alongside visual content to go into further depth.
